I’ll start off by the famous pitch…. According to several studies, it costs 6-times more to sell to a prospect than an existing customer, and a customer is likely to spend 33% more.
So let’s see why we should study our existing
It’s been a while since I’ve posted but I really liked this video that I came across and gave me insight into my own business and clients. How often to you update your client list preferences? Do you even know what preferences your clients like? Start to think about your clients and how well you understand them? By knowing what your customers have in common you can start to market to them more effeciently.
The video that I will share shows how important it is to know your customers….because if you don’t you market to them items and products that aren’t relevant therefore(in direct mail case) it gets tossed. I look at amazon and they have it down to an analytical science about what I like. I love them more importantly because I never see the items that I am not interested in meaning no negative associations with what I view which responds to little negative views of how I view Amazon.
So in saying that I encourage you to track what your clients are buying, how often, colours, sizes, price range, what time of year, etc. Then break them into groups and market to them more effectively. You will save money by mailing less and you will have a better ROI.
My Easy Mail Maker has a built in customer relationship management tool(helps keep track of your clients) which is free when you sign up for your free account. It’s an easy and efficient way of storing useful information about your clients and when it comes time to using that information it is right there in our system with an easy way to market to them with postcard marketing.
Happy Mailings!
